Q: What types of prep work are included in your standard interior painting service?
A: Our standard interior painting service includes thorough cleaning of walls, minor spackle and sanding of nail holes and small imperfections, and masking of trim, windows, and floors to ensure a clean finish. We also include one coat of primer if necessary for significant color changes or surface issues.
Q: How do you ensure the durability of your exterior paint jobs against the local weather?
A: We utilize high-quality, weather-resistant paints and primers specifically chosen for their performance in our climate. Our preparation process for exterior jobs involves power washing, scraping and sanding loose paint, and priming any bare wood or metal to create a superior bonding surface that resists peeling and fading.
Q: Do you offer color consultation services for choosing the right paint colors?
A: While we don't offer formal design consultation, our experienced painters can provide guidance on color choices based on your existing décor, lighting conditions, and desired mood. We can also help you understand how different finishes and sheens will impact the final look.
Q: Can Poor Boys Custom handle painting of different types of surfaces, like cabinets or furniture?
A: Yes, we offer specialized custom painting services that include cabinet refinishing and furniture painting. These projects require specific preparation techniques and finishes to ensure a durable and aesthetically pleasing result, which we are well-equipped to provide.
Q: What is your process for addressing any unexpected issues that arise during a painting project at 501 Research Ct?
A: We believe in transparent communication. If any unforeseen issues arise, such as significant drywall damage or previously unknown moisture problems, we will immediately bring it to your attention, discuss the implications, and provide you with options and updated estimates before proceeding with any additional work.
